French Polynesian Designer Infuses Culture into Interiors (ft. Kinsman)

Meet Ketty Shan, a French Polynesian interior designer who was the principal architect of Soho House Hong Kong when the private members’ club made their first major expansion in Asia. Born and raised in Tahiti in a Hakka Chinese family, Ketty is also the founder of Hong Kong-based interior design studio Atelier Shan, she joins us to talk about her experience growing up in French Polynesia and career journey as an interior designer.

She also talks to us about one of her recent projects Kinsman - a Cantonese cocktail salon inspired by Wong Kar Wai’s chef-d’oeuvre In the Mood for Love. Ketty talks about how she infused the timeless glamour of old-world Hong Kong into every corner of the dreamy speakeasy.

Featured Venue: Kinsman
