Proudly Asian Founder Speaks at Women of Hong Kong International Women’s Day Event
For International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024, Proudly Asian Founder Isabel Wong was invited to speak at Women of Hong Kong’s IWD event in Hong Kong. On the panel “Amplifying Voices - Empowering Women through Effective Communication”, Isabel spoke alongside fellow panellists Crisel Consunji, Award-Winning Actress and Co-Founder of Baumhaus HK; Yamilette Cano, Founder of LOUDER; and moderator Jen Flowers, Group Head of Customer Intelligence and Partnerships at HSBC Wealth & Personal Bank.
“We don’t share our voices just to impress. We must share our voices so we can share our side of the story. Because if we don’t, someone else might attempt to tell our stories on our behalf,” said Isabel during the panel, “and most of the time, other people’s versions of our stories can be filled with biases and uninformed assumptions.”
